A 1920s Craftsman home in Oakwood has been thoughtfully expanded to

accommodate a growing family. This home was renovated by Southern Concepts,

now part of Hoeken Design Build, uniting a legacy of craftsmanship with expanded

design-build expertise and resources.

The addition introduces a second-story game room with an adjoining kitchenette,

along with two spacious bedrooms and a full bathroom. The design integrates

modern amenities—such as quartz countertops, custom built-in shelving, and a

wall-mounted bottle filler—while incorporating refined architectural details,

including arched shelving, fluted cabinetry, and push-button light switches that pay

homage to the home’s historic character.
